What is your job title?

I am a registered nurse in the operation theatre.

At which Ramsay site do you work?

The Central Surgery in Hong Kong.

For how long have you worked at Ramsay?

More than one year, since April 2019

What is your favourite thing about being a nurse/midwife?

The best part of being a nurse is the interaction with different patients who come along with different ages, symptoms and backgrounds, seeing people from all walks of life and sharing their stories. What I found intriguing is to listen and discuss with patients about their nervousness before the forthcoming surgery, thereby relieving their stress and tensions and get their smile back on the face.

What are your aspirations for the future?

I hope to become a nurse anaesthetist in the future, as I have been looking for an advanced and high-stakes nursing specialty that will keep me on my toes. From the excitement of working in environments like the operation theatre to the level of professional autonomy, I believe working as a nurse anaesthetist fits me. In addition, I would always be keen to keep myself up to date with the latest knowledge. Moreover, I think it is very essential to stay true to my beliefs and share the passion and compassion with both our patients and colleagues.
