I am a nurse

At which Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care hospital do you work?

I am working at Premier Jatinegara Hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia

For how long have you worked at RSPJ?

I have been working at RSPJ for about 10 years

What is your favourite thing about being a nurse?

I became a nurse because I think nurses are the most trusted healthcare professionals and more importantly, it is a noble profession. It is my belief that if I carry out my job sincerely by helping patients meet their physical, social, emotional and sometimes even spiritual needs, God will reward me in eternity.

What are you passionate about?

The one thing that I love about my profession as a nurse is when I see a patient who once needed constant care regain their independence, their smile of gratitude and happiness gives me a profound sense of achievement. I go on the principle that we should care for every patient like how we would care for the person we love deeply. Nurses are like the sun shining brightly on the universe without fear or favour making life possible.

What are your aspirations for the future?

In order to achieve a high level of competence, I need to ensure that I aspire to continually work towards improving the quality of service and patient satisfaction. As healthcare delivery becomes more complex, nurses are required to advance their knowledge in order to manage complicated situations. I want to focus on patient needs, their preferences and understand patient expectations so that I may enhance their satisfaction levels. In NURSING there is a role for everyone to contribute and make a difference.
